Product Description

Project Fitness Protein Muffin

In order to enhance muscle growth, experts believe you should consume 2 grams of protein perkg of body weight a day; so, a male weighing 12.5 stone or 80kg’s would need to consume 160grams of protein per day!

The thought of consuming a second or third protein shake with their various health warnings & tendency to cause digestive distress is, for many, a simply unbearable prospect. Now, thanks to Project Fitness, there is an alternative! To add a whole 19 grams of protein into your daily diet, why not try a protein muffin! With the ability to be consumed as a snack, before or after the gym, our muffins provide a truly powerful protein hit, perfect for both men & women without the struggling of consuming yet another dreaded protein shake. Not only this, but our muffins provide 20grams of sugar to replenish the glycogen stores lost during exercise & sweating.

Scientists at the University of Cambridge carried out research, experimenting with ‘orexin cells’, which release stimulants to keep your brain alert. They found that these cells work best with a protein based fuel. Whilst glucose is proven as a major energy source for our bodies, studies show that our brains prefer protein; & with 19 grams of it, our muffins give you just enough. Our Muffins are available in 2 great flavours, Mixed Berry & Breakfast Muffin & there is 6 in each box.

Crammed with 19g of protein per 90g muffin & some good fibre, this fun, baked snack is ideal for somebody looking to add extra protein in their diet & to make a bit of a break from some of the more hard to eat protein bars or flapjacks, & work great at the office as a cheeky 'elevenses' high-protein snack!
