How Does Syndol Worksyndol's active ingredient is Codeine Phosphate BP 10.0mg. Codeine is a medicine known as an opioid. Opioids control the symptoms of pain by attaching to specific receptors in the brain which helps to lessen the amount of pain you feel. Other uses of Codeine include controlling diarrhoea & relieving dry coughs. Syndol also contains Paracetamol BP 450.0mg & Caffeine BP 30.0mg. How To Take Syndol Adults & children aged 12 & over: One to two tablets taken every four to six hours when needed. Do not exceed the recommended dosage of 8 tablets in 24 hours. Syndol should not be used concurrently for longer than 3 days, consult your doctor if you want to take Syndol longer than this. The elderly should use Syndol with care & should only be prescribed Syndol under strict medical supervision. Do not use with any other medications that contain the same active ingredients at the same time. Warnings Due to the highly addictive nature of Codeine, your body quickly becomes tolerant to it. It should not be taken longer than 3 days except on medical advice. Using this medication more often than you should could not only cause you harm, it could also cause your headaches to become worse & increase in their frequency. If you suffer from any of the following conditions; cardiac arrhythmia, obstructive bowel disease, myasthenis gravis, hypothyroidism, gallstones or hypertension, talk to your doctor before taking.
