Since 2002 Opening Ceremony has been a name at the forefront of cutting edge fashion. Using New York as a base but drawing their influence from every corner of the globe they have garnered a cult following through their directional & sometimes downright hard cock to fathom collections. Following on from the success of previous seasons with adidas, Spring & Summer 13 is another crazy one. Mis-matching sport appropriate fabrics with not so sporty prints they have created an explosion of style that extends far beyond traditional sportswear. The New York Run is an inimitable silhouette which is the unrepeatable mash-up of printed synthetic leather panels. As well as this exciting upper the craziness continues into the interior as its lined with neoprene which references an old adidas technology named the Dellinger Web. This was first seen in the 80s but doesnt seem to have lost any appeal along the way. The whole affair is rounded off nicely by a rubber sole overlaid with mesh for that old adidas runner aesthetic we all know & love.
