The new Blank Canvas collection sees Fred Perry collaborate with legendary English pop artist Peter Blake. Blake is best known for designing the sleeve of the Beatles` album " Sgt. Pepper`s Lonely Hearts Club Band" but also famously designed album sleeve work for Paul Weller (Stanley Road), The Who (Face Dances) & perhaps the biggest of them all, the single cover artwork for Band Aid`s " Do they know its Christmas time?". A lesser know fact is that Blake also designed the artwork for the Ian Drury tribute album " Brand new boots & Panties", a work close to Blake`s heart as he was Drury`s tutor at the Royal College of Art in the mid-60`s. Â Using the famous M12 Fred Perry Polo shirt as a base, Blake has added his personal touch to the traditional Perry styling details to create this unique Blank Canvas design. Made in Engl&, this soft combed cotton pique shirt features wider tipping running along the textured flat knit collar & cuffs. The shirt`s body has a classic fit, & features two sewn-on badges alongside hand screen printed icons, referencing the artist`s renowned use of pop iconography. " Fred Perry 2011" has been stencilled along the bottom hem, alongside a print of Peter`s signature. Laurel Wreath embroidery & specially designed buttons complete this limited edition design
- a must have for all Fred Perry collectors. Â To specify just how limited production has been on these, each shirt also comes with an individually numbered collar tag (theres a 1000 produced worldwide in each), with a presentation box topping things off nicely. Polo Neck Short Sleeved
