Focus is a weekly German business magazine published in Munich & has subscribers throughout Germany. It is considered as a conservative information magazine & began publication in 1993.  When I read one article in Focus German I was astounded at the generally stogy Germans actually being funny & now they are being sued by the Greeks. Interesting. Germany claims that Greece is a swindler in the euro family & the current magazine cover is illustrated by a famous Greek statue “flipping the bird.” What was supposed to be “funny” or at the least tongue in cheek has turned out to be highly controversial. Staff members of Focus Germany are due to appear in an Athens court to answer the claim of libel. The editor of Focus Germany could spend up to two years in jail for this article. Makes you wonder if no one has a sense of humor anymore. Still another article that samples German life & Focus German magazine’s somewhat dry sense of humor is an article about the demise of humanity & the planet Earth.  ...
