I am a fully certified paid up Geek & I am proud of that fact.  I spend an obscene amount of time watching the likes of Fringe Falling Skies Star Trek Walking Dead Smallville & Supernatural & I spend a lot of money keeping Hollywood in business.  So I feel I am more than qualified to tell you about Sci-Fi Now magazine. Sci Fi Now magazine isn’t just a film review magazine like Empire or Total Film but is a more complete round up of the latest news in TV Film Gaming & Literary Sci Fi.  Each issue of Sci Fi Now is packed to the brim with 130 pages of Features Interviews Reviews & a great nostalgia section called Sci Fi Time Warp. Features The features section of Sci Fi Now focusses on in depth articles on behind the scenes stories TV Series round ups & on set exposes on up & coming movies & summer blockbusters.  For example in the run up to Season 4 of Fringe Sci Fi Now featured an article which rounded up nicely the first 3 seasons & charted the path of 3 of our favourite characters & their alternates as they crossed over between the 2 universes.  Or in the build up to the UK airing of Alcatraz Sci Fi featured an in depth introduction to the series along with cast interviews. Interviews A film/tv/book magazine would not be complete without an interview with the current big star.  So Sci Fi Now has featured interviews with Kate Beckinsale on Underworld & Chris Evans on the First Avenger. Reviews Of course you have the usual selection of film TV & book reviews.  Each issue features 4 to 5 in depth reviews of the latest films & TV Series reviews. Sci Fi Library Each carries a 20 page section of book reviews & interviews with the greatest Sci Fi Authors.  Sci Fi Time Warp This is one of my favourite sections of the magazine which has a real nostalgia buzz about it backed up by it’s B Movie style logo.  This section looks back at some of the greatest Sci Fi TV series & films from “back in the day”.  I particularly enjoyed a look back at “ Land of the Giants” which I remember watching on a Sunday at my Grans house whilst waiting for the roast to be ready.   The Time Warp section also plays host to a monthly feature called “ Modern Classic” which as the name suggests looks at a recent film which is destined to be a classic.  So you have the likes of Batman Begins & The Fellowship of the Ring. So if you are an unashamed Geek just like me then Sci Fi Now is an ideal magazine to give you the monthly Sci Fi buzz you need. Written By Paul Taylor the Unique Magazines IT & Web guy ...
